1. Our Privacy Commitment
At Komodo Mine ($KOMINE), we respect your privacy and are committed to complete transparency regarding the collection, processing, and protection of your data. As a Location-Based Web3 Game on Solana, we collect only the minimal data strictly necessary to facilitate game mechanics, prevent GPS spoofing, and distribute on-chain mining rewards.
2. Information We Collect
📍 Precise GPS Location Data
When you grant location permissions in the Komodo Mine app, we collect latitude, longitude, speed, and accuracy solely while the game is active. This is strictly required to calculate your distance to mineral veins (must be within 5 meters) and localized Geohash cells (~153m). We never track your location when the app is closed.
👟 Sensor & Motion Telemetry
We read device pedometer step counts, accelerometer, and gyroscope vectors. This sensor fusion data is used as a cryptographic dead-reckoning check to confirm genuine human physical walking and defeat automated software botting.
🔐 Public Blockchain Wallet Address
When connecting your Phantom or Solflare wallet via the Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter, we receive only your public key (e.g., 7NpK...e4x9). We NEVER request, have access to, or store your private keys or seed recovery phrases.
🛡️ Anti-Cheat Device Integrity
We query device integrity tokens (Google Play Integrity API on Android) to verify that the client software has not been reverse-engineered, tampered with, or executed within headless virtual machine emulators.
3. Zero Selling of Personal Data
We NEVER sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal location history or sensor telemetry to third-party data brokers, marketers, or advertisers. Your location data is discarded from server operational memory once ore verification is concluded.
4. Public Nature of Blockchain Records
Please note that transactions executed on the Solana blockchain (such as claiming ore rewards, upgrading pickaxes, or depositing $KOMINE into the Staking Escrow Vault) are publicly visible by the decentralized nature of blockchain ledgers. Your public wallet address and transaction history are permanently recorded on-chain and viewable on block explorers such as Solscan and Birdeye.
5. User Rights & Data Control
You retain full control over your device data at all times:
- You may revoke GPS and Sensor permissions at any moment in your smartphone OS settings (note that location permission is required to mine minerals).
- You can disconnect your Solana wallet from the application at any time.
- To request the deletion of any cached telemetry associated with your public key, contact our development team.
